COVID-19 can never attack You (PART-I)

  

What!

The topic seems to be very attractive and many of you might be even thinking that the content might be telling you the secret, right?

As of now, keeping the severity of the condition caused due to the virus you must know the origin of its nomenclature as much as you know the source. The word "corona"  is a Latin word meaning crown. Fascinated, right? You should be. The resemblance of the virus' structure gives this name. Several strains of coronavirus is known but the present strain of COVID-19 is causing all the pain to the world, causing several painful deaths. Thus we should call the virus by the name COVID-19 due its specificity of the words which it has as “CO” signifying Corona, “VI” as Virus and “D” as Disease. Then what about the number, 19 – it tells the year when its first case was reported i.e. 2019.

SARS COVID-19(SEVERE ACUTE RESPIRATORY SYNDROME CORONAVIRUS DISEASE) a viral disease, spreading its web throughout the world and hunting for human body to survive thereby killing them. It is an infectious disease caused by the virus called SARS-CoV-2. As it is a respiratory disease, so one can easily feel the pain of not having a freedom to breathe. WHO has declared that COVID-19 is not an air-borne disease because the virus cannot affect a person 6 feet away from an infected person. This disease is spreading by the sneeze, cough and spits of the infected person to a healthy person.

CLINICAL MANIFESTATION

Coronaviruses invade the respiratory tract via the nose. After an incubation period of 3 days, they cause the symptoms of common cold, including nasal obstruction, sneezing, runny nose, and occasionally cough. The disease resolves in a few days, during which virus shed in nasal secretions. There is some evidences that the respiratory coronaviruses can cause disease of the lower airways but it is unlikely that this is due to direct invasion. Other manifestations of disease such as multiple sclerosis have been attributed to these viruses but the evidence is not clear cut. 

The epicenter of this viral disease is Wuhan, China. A pneumonia of unknown cause detected in Wuhan, China was first reported to the WHO Country Office in China on 31 December 2019. WHO was working 24/7 to analyze the data, spread the awareness, and to find out the remedy for this disease. But nothing proved to be in favor of the mankind. On 30 January, 2020, China declared the Public Health Emergency of International Concern, which means mankind are stepping towards the danger. 

            The Government of all the nations are trying their best to impose strict laws so that no people can come out of their houses and meet guys practically in a gathering.Many countries who had taken the condition so lightly are facing the peril.  The so- called “Developed Countries” are seeing their downfall in fields of economic, health and even citizen morale and count, every day, proving themselves helpless to nature. All the countries have used their economic gains only for their protection against wars and showcase their real power but they forgot that a new disease can be much more dangerous. As they thought that nothing as bad as war could occur in the world, they forgot to make ventilators and masks for their citizen. What an irony!

China has witnessed 82,000+ cases of infection among which 4,634 people died. The mighty superpower, America, is dealing with more than 15.4 lakhs+ COVID-19 patients till date among which more than 90,000 people died. The entire world has more than 49 lakh cases of the disease. Countries with much advanced medical system like France, Italy and Spain, are similarly helpless.

 Talking of India, she is trying best to curb this disease off by imposing rigorous lockdown in the country making the nation follow it but still due to some serious mistakes of the Indian Citizens, the disease is widespread. Even some anti-nationals are causing havoc in the country by gathering and stone pelting at cops and doctors, they are trying their best to make us follow the law because now we are under the Disaster Management Act where if we don’t follow the rules and regulations we have to pay a fine and imprisonment from 1 to 5 months. Till now as the country hasn’t reached the 3^rd stage of disease, so we are all quite safe, until and unless if we follow the Government’s guidelines.
